One signature.
Maria Aurora is a boutique design studio with a single creative direction. Each season the studio accepts eighteen weddings, and no more. The cap is not a marketing conceit; it is how the work remains considered, end to end, from the linen chosen for the welcome dinner to the candles lit on the final send-off.
Every commission is led personally by Maria Aurora Solberg, the studio's founder and creative director. A team of five supports her — two senior designers, a travel producer, and two producers — so that each couple works directly with the person drawing their wedding, never a handoff account manager. Founded in Lisbon in 2016, the studio opened a second home in Charleston in 2021; a quiet, by-appointment practice that has, across 127 weddings in eleven countries, remained small on purpose.

The Engagement

Most couples book the studio eleven months in advance. The work unfolds across four distinct acts — each one led by Maria Aurora personally, with the right members of the team joining at the right chapter.

The Opening Conversation
A complimentary forty-five minute call to walk through your vision, your dates, and your expectations of the studio. We close by sending a short written proposal within five business days.

The Design Direction
Over three months Maria Aurora draws the wedding — palette, paper, linen, floral concept, and a written narrative for each day. We present the design as a bound document in studio, in Lisbon or Charleston.

The Producers
A dedicated senior producer and travel producer activate the vendor network — over two hundred and forty vetted partners across Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Tulum — and steward every contract, schedule, and arrival.

The Wedding Weekend
Maria Aurora and a full production team on site for the entire weekend. We direct the rehearsal, the welcome, the ceremony, and the send-off — so that you are a guest at your own wedding.
